Rockss and Fruit

  • By Lyle Fass

(Von Schubert Maximin Grunhauser QBA) Sulfur, slate and not much else on the nose. Pretty decent palate with honeyed fruit. Nice length but does not go that extra like the other 01's I have sampled. I can see why some people say these are so strange young. I have a friend who had a Grunhaus Abtsberg Auslese 1988 just recently and said it was fantastic. Only time will tell.
