February 8, 2019 - A superb wine and still many years to go. The best in a tasting with e.g. Vega Sicilia Valbuena 1997 & 1998, Alion 1999 and Barca Velha 1985 & 1995.

June 17, 2010 - a nice one this time, but I sense that it's fading a bit. The fruit is starting to go to cranberry.

March 20, 2009 - Delicious mature Rioja here. The smell of this wine wafts across the room with a heady kirsch liqueur and slightly sweet oak smell. Cherry and kirsch liqueur in the mouth, a very rich flavorful experience with acidity to hold it up and very soft tannins. This bottle is absolutely wonderful.

February 11, 2009 - Fairly dark with brickening and browning rims.Nose is nicely developed with lots of barnyard. The palate is mellow with some red fruit, barnyard, tertiary aromas and perfectly integrated softened tannins.Very refined and enjoyable.Peaking right now and probably has a few years left.

February 9, 2009 - Fading fruit, yes mellow, fully resolved tannin some discoloration - me hopes that this was an odd bottle should still be lots of legs here
