  February 7, 2024 - good fruit complemented with cedar, leather and pipe tobacco notes. Excellent QPR. easy drinking and does not go flat over time

  December 8, 2023 - By the glass at the club, popped and poured. Deep color. Notes of back currants, kirsch, chocolate and something savory, like a cross between leather and sage. There’s a little bit of a root beer/melted licorice thing going on as well. Full-bodied with flavors of black currant, cassis, chocolate and plum with a slightly sappy, resinous quality on the finish. Haven’t had anything from Franciscan in a long while and for $16/btl at local retailers, this is a decent little bottle of cabernet. 88+ pts.
