May 9, 2016 - Surprised how extremely well this drank at 10 years old. Suggests Cali pinots can also improve materially with age. Cherry, strawberry, methol, wet stone and graphite on the nose and palate. The fruit was ample but toned down relative to a young Cali pinot and did not have any of the sappy, cough syrup aspects I find a lot of young pinots have. Was more similar to an Ontario or Burgandy pinot. Still had great freshness with very well balanced acidity and minerality. Very slight amount of rustic, barnyard funk on the nose and palate which I presume reflects the ageing, but it didn't negatively impact it in any way. In the middle of it's prime and I suspect it will continue to drink well for several more years, however, I won't know as that was my only bottle.

August 31, 2013 - More enjoyable and inviting than my recollections of prior experiences with pinots from this producer; bright and lively but with enough depth to fit the bill for this cabernet biased consumer.

February 8, 2012 - PNP. Enjoyable PN with a more old world feel. Nice balance and red fruit flavors. Bit of heat, but didn't last long. If scoring 88-89.

January 28, 2012 - I liked it OK. But my wife, who is not a California Pinot fan liked it a lot. She felt, even though it was very thin, that it drank more Oregon or Burgundian like in on the palate. It does have very restrained fruit, so I can see where she is coming from. Closed nose - Fairly thin body - but an easy drinking Pinot that does not taste like the melted Jolly Rancher that some CA Pinots do.
