March 12, 2024 - Handford 2019 Brunello tasting Returning to the ever present superstar of BdM and the 2019 didn’t disappoint. Clear step up from other wines in the lineup and one of only two here that qualifies as ethereal. Lift, energy, elegance, structure, fragrance. Such balance. All I can say is WOW! Very subtle wine, needs some finessing for it to open up. Pipped the Cerbaiona for me, but only just. Stonker of a wine. WOTN

February 28, 2024 - Obviously this is young and will develop more depth and complexity with time. Good damson fruit. Already some earthiness and leather. Tannin is still overpowering at this stage. Medium length, fairly straightforward at this stage.
