    May 14, 2017 - PNP
    Dark eggplant purple
Nose is cherry, leather, dark chocolate, plum, bread and oak. Flavor plum, cherry tobacco flavor, red fruit with woody component. Alcohol is well integrated with the fruit. Good wine. I would say this is peaking now.

October 15, 2016 - Zachys Wine Vault II (Le Bernadin Prive): Here again the drinking window in CT is wildly off. This could definitely have gone for another 5+ years. It's a wonderful in the rocks Syrah. Almost a bit decadent and an interesting final wine at the auction before the port. Bandaids and stinky socks, but in the best possible way. Meaty.

September 1, 2016 - Similar to the 8/17/13 bottle...still reasonably fresh and nicely suave on the palate with lots of plum and dark chocolate.

January 11, 2016 - Purchased from the mailing list and in the wine locker since. Pristine, ripe and juicy fruit, with plum, dark cherry and green tobacco notes. On the palate, this was delightfully youthful and silky, with peppercorn, soy, and more fruit. Long, detailed finish. If stored well, I could see this going another 5+ with all that fruit. I was certainly very pleasantly surprised. The only detraction was want I characterize as a metallic sharpness on the finish that I get in so many Cayuse Syrahs.
