May 15, 1990 - With K at home at dinner (pizza). Medium-dark ruby. Fairly good legs. Nose, initially closed, developed with air. Good spicy fruit. Decent fruit flavor, albeit one dimensional; heavy tannin and wood are overly assertive, however. Bitter finish. I don't believe the fruit is up to the tannin. 5-10-11-4: 80/100.
