December 17, 2023 - Drank this next to the 2007 which I slightly preferred, but this can also be consumed now for a fresher experience. Amazing nose of fruit and pepper, on the palate fruit and savory spices and bacon on the finish. The longer it is open the more it drinks like food!

November 20, 2023 - Finishing the remnants of Friday’s bottle. Gorgeous bouquet of black and blue fruit, pepper, incense and roasted game. Full-bodied, with flavors of black fruit, spice and bacon. Long finish dominated by bacon and white pepper.

November 17, 2023 - Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (Eagle Brook CC): Double blind. Deep inky ruby color. Aromas of plum, Asian five spice, blackberry, game and chocolate. Medium tannins with flavors of black fruit, plum and pepper. Has a pleasant sweetness to the dark fruit on the palate. Finishes with good length and balance. Guessed domestic syrah. (R&R)
