February 17, 2024 - Nose: Raspberry leaf, greenness, fruit is hard to pick out and definitely takes a backseat. Palate: Mildly tart raspberry, wood is somewhat unintegrated and sharp. Fine for the price, but uneventful; tastes a lot like the wines you get in the relatively cheap Costco Bordeaux 4-pack around the holidays.

a nice balanced low-fruit bordeaux, $8 at costco, dry with no particular flavors one way or the other, pleasantly chalky but not grossly tannic
improves with air, of course, and on day 2 (refrigerated)
it is so ungrapy and neutrally balanced that you will want to have it with roasted things and nothing too acidic or red-sauced (of course)
