October 17, 2023 - Sweet red berries, icing sugar, orange, sage, and florals above all. Lively acidity provides lift. Moderate extraction and silky tannins. Surprisingly, this is already drinking very well. Graceful and understated. On day two, violet and licorice push to the fore, and the fruit profile is darker, hinting at Victoria plum and blackberry. Drink now - 2032. May score an extra point in a year or two. 93+ points.

September 14, 2023 - Dark reddish garnet in color. Full, forward, & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of roses, dried herbs, spices, minerals, dark cocoa, some tar notes & hints of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sour cherries, mulberries & raspberries with cocoa, herbs, anise, spices, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should benefit from & continue its development with additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (94+). An indicative belnd of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino.
