December 24, 2013 - Still drinking well! Got better and better after opened for an hour. Notes of tobacco.

March 11, 2012 - 2 years makes a difference...or perhaps that last bottle was tainted. really enjoyed tonight. Fruity Walla Walla Syrah.

July 21, 2010 - Rich ruby color in glass, true syrah nose elements and the taste was of mouthfilling rich wine. Hints of pepper and just the right amount of tannin highlighted the the flavor profile. Great

April 6, 2010 - I enjoyed this enough to buy two bottles when I tasted in May 2008. Tonight, despite 1.5-2.5 hours breathing time, not so much. Was good with food (lamb stew) but not by itself. My wife like though, which is odd. So we either had different palates, or not sure what was up. Anyway, will try again in a year or two, as the bottle was not corked or broken, but something not as remembered.

September 14, 2009 - Washington Wine Commision tasting (Rooftop Terrace, Millenium Park, Chicago IL): nose: dark, meaty, and brooding nose filled with black fruits, dark red fruits, black cherries, and a good dose of pepper tones. Excellent depth, and is a bit tight right now, but has a real good richness to it on the nose

taste: full bodied with thick tannins. Big, but well balanced with a real good depth and rich tones of dark red fruits, pepper, bits of spice, and black cherries. Expressive, and not as heavy on the palate as the nose, but also a bit unforgiving at this time

overall: can certainly use a few more years to fully round out. A quality syrah that has a richness and dark nature to it that makes it extremely enjoyable. Well balanced, this has a heavyweight quality to it, but doesn't knock you down either
