May 8, 2023 - Deeply colored, initially you notice, dried roses, blackberries, black cherries, cocoa, pepper, and 5 spice on the nose. On the palate, the medium-bodied wine is packed with layers of creamy, elegant, ripe, dark, red fruits with hints of pepper and even some cocoa that comes in at the end of the long, plummy finish. This should age quite nice well, yet be approachable young. The wine blends 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot. 14.5% ABV, pH 3.73. Harvesting took place September 6 - September 28. Drink from 2026-2042. 93-95 Pts.

Sehr elegant! 2030-2055 (Verkostet "En Primeur" im April 2023 / Syndicat Viticole de Pessac-Léognan / Château La Garde ) #primeurs22 www.vvWine.ch

April 28, 2023 - En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Seven (Bordeaux): Slight alcohol prickle initially, sweet spice, black fruits; blackcurrant, plums muted oak and cream. Medium plus intensity acidity, woody over grape skin tannins are a little grainy and there is a slight meaty underpin, plums and black currant, a little sweet spices, those tannins are drying but light, a little yeast extract. Okay.

April 23, 2023 - En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Two (Bordeaux): Plum, cream, blackcurrant, slightly sweet spice, a little baked earth. Juicy, concentrated black fruits, chewy tight tannins are slightly grainy textured but in balance with the fruit. Needs time but shows promise.
