November 28, 2023 - Absolutely stunning wine. This only improved through the 3rd day open. The bouquet is complex, kaleidoscopic, and never off-putting. The wine is light and quick on its feet. I greatly appreciate the conservative ABV. There's so much fun going on within. Probably a notch better than my several experiences with the CC '19.

October 29, 2023 - 13.2% abv. Dark ruby, very aromatic. Redolent of cloves, mint and spice, great depth and balance. Delicious and distinctive. Great now and over the next decade or so.

October 25, 2023 - Popped and poured. The 2021 Carignane “Lodi” pours a deep ruby with a purple tinge. Medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing, with super fresh red and dark brambles, dark cherries, licorice, and some soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+(?) tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and continues the trend freshness with some really nice gravelly minerals. Drink now with patience and enjoy over the next 10-15 years.

October 24, 2023 - Pure and transparent, subtle nose of strawberries and cream, black raspberry fruit flavors, balanced across the palate with nice finish. This is a very direct lean clean style of wine that I enjoyed more and more as I got used to it's charms.
