  Clean. Medium(+) intensity with aroma of tar cardamom liquorice violet cherry and cinnamon.
  
  Dry. Medium alcohol. Medium(+) tannins. Medium(+) acidity. Medium body. Medium(+) intensity with flavours of cherry cardamom liquorice and strawberry.
  
  Medium(+) finish. Very good. Suitable for further ageing. Suitable and intense at the same time. Classic over delivers for the price especially when on sale and compared to a Langhe Nebbiolo.

  February 29, 2024 - Terroir, typicity and wine making places it in Serralunga d’Alba. Factor in price and market share and you arrive at Fontanafredda. Good qpr.

  January 4, 2024 - From a 375ml bottle. Decanted for 2 hours. On the nose subtle sous-bois and red fruit. Medium bodied, smooth and supple, showing subtle red fruit with a hint of tar and firm grippy tannins. A good basic barolo but felt a bit subpar compared to other producers.
