  March 2, 2024 - In recent weeks, I have had the chance to re-taste a good number of Bordeaux 2022 samples to see their evolution almost a year after the primeur week. I put you below and in alphabetical order, those that I imagine for the moment, worthy of the highest grade! It must be understood that I have not tasted all the wines, far from it, and that some others are going through more difficult evolutionary phases for the moment and therefore impossible to rate while remaining honest. Only the notes after bottling will be truly conclusive. Thank you for understanding this.

  October 23, 2023 - Certainement le plus complexe des Lafleur depuis longtemps (avec le 2019 bien sûr), sur des notes merveilleuses de peau d'orange, violette, cacao et fruits noirs. Et une longueur qui n'en finit paaaaaaaaaaaaassss!

  September 30, 2023 - My colleagues and I were finally able to organize a mini Lafleur vertical last night (an old dream that was very, very difficult to bring together) to redefine the odds against the fabulous 2022 vintage. Once again, we can't put 100 points everywhere.

  May 8, 2023 - Boysenberries, black raspberries, cherries, lilacs, violets, cocoa, and plum liqueur create the intoxicating perfume. Texturally, the wine meshes its viscosity, volume, density, opulence, and power with energy and lift. The levels of depth, and concentration here are are off the charts. The unctuous finish exceeds 60 seconds as it expands, builds, and coats your mouth, teeth and gums. It is important to note, that nothing is out of place, nothing is heavy. Everything is balanced and seamless. Like all great Lafleur vintages, this has almost unlimited aging abilities, yet the wine can be enjoyed after 5 years or so of bottle age. The wine blends 51% Cabernet Franc and 49% Merlot. 14.5% ABV, 3.8 pH. Harvesting took place from September 3 - September 17. Drink from 2030-2065. 98-100 Pts.
