Community Tasting Notes 2

April 26, 2024 - Light plum and cherry on the nose. On the palate, black cherry, strawberry, and black berry fruit with vanilla oak and light tobacco on the medium to long finish, with moderate tannins and good acidity. On the second day the vanilla had faded and the oak had integrated, and this was noticeably better. This is early in its drinking window and it will improve, but when given enough air it already outperforms its price point at a little over $20.

April 15, 2024 - 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc from Red Mountain and Wahluke Slope. Double decanted and poured. Drinking very nicely now (the current CT window starting 2028 is absurd) with a decade in front of it, but at <$20 why wait. Solid QPR and one of the better right bank blends out of Washington I’ve had in awhile.
