December 23, 2023 - 1998 Krug was and has been one of my favourite vintage Krug for a long while. One of the few vintages of Chardonnay dominant release, after 1981. 46% Chardonnay. Collection 1998 normal disgorgement date but stored in Domaine cellar until 2022. At its peak, fully mature showing a nicely laced array of bruised apples, apricot and lemonade. Quite smoky with a tertiary profile. Drink now - 2026. (91/100)
