December 16, 2021 - Decanted, waited an hour. Still drinking well. I was worried after reading some of the reviews. Definitely on its way down so I would recommend if you have some of these laying around you should start to work on them. I have one left. Was a pleasant surprise.

May 28, 2017 - Opened as part of a three year vertical of Leonetti Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon; 1992, 1993, and 1994. All bottles were double decanted and allow to breathe for about an hour before consumption. All three vintages had a fair amount of sediment with 1994 having the most. The cork on the 1992 was in place but very fragile; the other two corks were sound. The color of the wine ranged from 1992 being lightest to 1994 being very dark. All vintages smelled good and opened up nicely. 1992 was the lightest on the palate and 1994 was the most structured. It was a pleasure to drink all three vintages side by side and all had their merits. 1994 was probably the best.

June 29, 2014 - This was definitely in a nice place... definitely got the leather that mc2 noted as well as a bit of chocolate powder. It held up pretty well for a couple of hours but after 4 hours in the decanter it seemed to lose precision. Then again so did I. Not much to say otherwise... some nice dark red fruit, resolved tannins, etc. Just a 22 year old WA Cab in a nice place. Leonetti has proven to age very nicely. Very happy with this bottle!

June 29, 2014 - This was WOTN among some very delicious wines. Perhaps just because our palette does tend to skew towards liking some of the old ones. This was opened and decanted and poured. Drank over ~1 hour. For those who hadn't finished theirs by then heard that it was falling apart, but when we got it it was just fantastic. Get some leather here - like the leather smell of a well oiled saddle. Very elegant.
