November 16, 2023 - I find it lush, inky and fruit forward. Dark berries, there is a bit of white pepper. They utilize some Viognier to bring out floral notes in the wine. They age 12 months in Punchon casks, as well as French and American oak. Some of that oak spice definitely comes through, on the nose and the palate. and a nice backbone of tannins, It takes a second to open, but it is a 2021. Great wine for the price!

October 5, 2023 - Part of my daily drinker research project. This is a fairly simple Syrah. Lighter on the body. Not much going on. Vanilla notes on the nose. Palate is simple, but no off putting flavors. Minimal structure. Fairly balanced between acidity and heat. Blackberry, mocha notes. Priced well.
