Community Tasting Notes 7

December 7, 2008 - 12/02/08: Deep red color with a perfumey nose of red fruits and spice. The flavors are currant, rapsberry, earth, spice and some woodiness. The wine is medium bodied with decent acidity, but is somehow out of balance and single dimentional. The finish is medium long with a little sourness to it. I was disappointed, but maybe should have drank sooner.

January 22, 2008 - Garnet color with a clear rim. The color belies the ripe raspberry, rose water, and spice box. Clove, cinnamon and cardamom penetrated the rich raspberry while a firm acidity brought this home. What was remarkable about this wine was its balance. The fruit had mellowed, acid was in check and secondary notes were emerging. This seemed at peak and yet another example of what a good winemaker can do in a less than stellar vintage.

October 2, 2007 - Gorgeous Pinot, drinking very well. Lovely nose and perfumed palate. Plenty of fruit. Yumm !

August 8, 2007 - Stole the show 8/5 as WOTN. Flawless pinot that is at its prime. Intoxicating perfumed nose, with rich depth of red fruit on the palate. FBMs friend Ann enjoyed.
