June 29, 2010 - big and bold, but balanced by zesty acidity. this is new world syrah/viognier done right at a great price. developed more dark chocolate and violet flavors on the second day. even picked up a bit of loam. definitely fruit-forward, but not goopy or flabby.

February 3, 2008 - a great west australian shiraz-viogner. a big one, but not over-the-top. dark purple color with crushed rasberry, dark pepper and a note that suggest violets. on the palate, this is dense with huckleberry, rasberry, pepper and chocolate. solid tannin structure and medium acidity with a medium finish. aromatically, this opened up much more after being open for a few hours. it would probably show better after a year or two. 14.5% alcohol. 95% shiraz, 5% viognier. aged 12 months in french oak.
