February 15, 2024 - Drinking well - nose of a super tuscan with rich ripe fruit like an older napa valley cab. A very fun wine to try, always liked Clos Apalta and haven't had one in a while.

June 2, 2023 - Bottle variation: not as charming as the last one. Complex bouquet, thick texture but with less sweetness. Better on day 2. still in good condition.

August 30, 2022 - I had problems to get get the cork out unbroken. Srewpull from Le Creuset helped. But the wine is still fabulous after 22 years: very dark color and an unbelievable balsamic complex nose! Dark berries, dark cherries with cedar, vanilla, espresso, tobacco, smoke combined with a wonderful sweetness. Heavy, is taking over complete control of your palate, deep and complex. Very long lasting on the tongue, thick. Still a big wine. Pure pleasure. Wow. Getting even better over the evening…
