Community Tasting Notes 10

  • Wisco Mel Likes this wine:

April 27, 2024 - It was delicious - silky cherries and dried herbs

  • Vinnut Likes this wine: 92 points

April 26, 2024 - Medium ruby in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & blueberries with overtones of spices & floral notes, earthy/dusty, minerals, espresso notes & a slight touch of vanilla/oak in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries & blueberries with spices, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with extended airing although it should develop further with additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (93+). Not quite as forward as the lovely 2021 version but may eventually surpass it over time.

April 17, 2024 - Pleasant reduction smooths the juicy berry fruit. Vague hint of cola hidden behind it all. Nice mouthfeel. The spice is pretty strong, and the acidity is a little inelegant, but this is really nice.

March 17, 2024 - Nose: Sweet flowers (maybe rose as the label suggests), candied orange, lemon curd, light cherry, delicate. Palate: Very balanced, tart cran-raspberry, white pepper, vanilla, sweet and silky, tannins and wood grain combine for a warming effect. Random, but paired really well with d'Affinois and 34 Degrees Rosemary Crisps.
