February 12, 2023 - It beggars belief this wine is almost 20 years old!
Intense aromas of blackberries, black pepper, leather, mushrooms, wild herbs, bacon fat, caramel, milk chocolate and cassis pastille fill your nostrils as a prelude to what’s coming when you drink it.
A medium rare well marbled steak with salt and pepper is a perfect companion, enhancing the flavours and lifting this beautiful wine to a new level.
Wonderfully balanced, it keeps evolving in the glass. Despite full bodied and intense, it manages to bring you back for another sip, especially after chewing a generous bite of that steak! -

December 25, 2022 - Wonderful wine, drinking at its peak. Beautiful length with soft, gentle fruit. Full bodied on the palate with great length. Could last a couple of more years, but no reason to wait.

August 14, 2022 - Aussie Night 2.0 (Buellton, CA): A bit past peak, but plenty of dark fruit along with the menthol, balsam and citronella flavors. The alcohol has become more prominent over the years, pushing this wine towards a cough syrup-like descriptor. Still, highly enjoyable.

July 3, 2017 - Apparence rouge bordeaux tirant sur le grenat, très dense.
Larmes teintées en parois du verre.
Nez moyennement ouvert, cassis, mûre, fruits cuits, chocolat.
En bouche, les tanins mordants bien presents mais arrondis, l'alcool domine, sensation d'une eau de vie, bleuet et chocolat mi-noir.
Persistance moyenne.
Pas mon style mais intéressant.
Trop dispendieux cependant...
