January 7, 2017 - Aromatically in line with my previous TN from 6 months ago, but this bottle had more vigour (maybe due to treatment with a venturi decant, first time for me) and was simply stunning.
at its peak but no signs of decline.

July 31, 2016 - From a bottle perfectly stored since release. The wine seems to be entering its peak.
Still youthfully darkish red to the rim, clear and shiny. In the nose at first quite grapey and primary but soon turning to a more "serious" aroma of forest floor, truffles and some whiffs of iron.
In the mouth this is medium-bodied, precise and still with some tannic backbone. Nevertheless age has given this a nicely rounded, mellow touch. No apparent oak-treatment or obtrusive alcohol (13,5 ABV on the label). The wine is balanced, food-friendly and very enjoyable on its own.
It has much in common with a northern rhone syrah, not quite the class of a Hermitage or a Cote Rotie, but slightly more heft than the latter. Very nice.

June 12, 2014 - Dark purple, full bodied
    Vanilla, dark fruit,
Dry, sweet cherries, long finish, thick, waves of dark fruit, plums, sea salt

    Excellent food pairing wine

June 7, 2014 - Dark prune colour. Nose: tobacco, sweetness of macerated fruits with some tart notes, even some black currants and later blackberries. All over more tuscan features than typical Syrah. Taste: light bodied (quite etherical), very ripe tannins; blackberries, blueberries. Very elegant, opened just on time. Excellent on the next day. Classy.

March 4, 2014 - Sweet, savory and with hints of old wood showing off. Cleverly put together and coming right into the hand of maturity. A very beautiful wine, if also rustic and country at heart.
