April 16, 2024 - Second bottle from a four bottle lot purchased from the Dutch importer in 2023. A beautifully crafted wine. Succulent but fresh fruit, impeccable balance, elegant weight, energetic and pure, seamless texture, hint of earth, very good length. Tempted to add another point.

March 17, 2024 - Totally agree with the previous note- I’m not sure I’d call Riesling if blinded on this wine. To my palate, it is more Alsace than anything else. Clean and pure as the driven snow, with lovely river stone minerals. The attack is very subtle, not a lot of energy in the tip of your tongue, and then it builds volume as it cascades over the palate, where you begin to sense a little honey, ginger, and the faintest bit of petrol. I would have probably guessed pinot gris. This wine is especially delicate, quite unique, and ultimately tastes great. A change up or late breaking curveball to borrow a baseball analogy.

February 18, 2024 - Not sure I'd blind this as Riesling. There's a floral tropical fruit thing going on that could confuse this as many other grape varieties.

I actually get a lot of lemon-lime soda on the nose but sorta like when you open a can of Sprite but leave it out for several hours.

Palate is round, generous, and perfect for food. Touch of Thai spices on the finish. Lovely stuff; have been impressed with all of Jintaro's wines. 92-93.

February 15, 2024 - The wine opens up with classic Riesling fruit: apple, pear, some lime. Some residual sugar is noticeable, but very well balanced with the razor sharp acidity. You can tell by the toasty notes that the wine has spent quite some time on the lees. The oak use gives the wine a nice density on the mid pallet. Nice finish. When the wine warms up it gains body and changes a lot.

February 3, 2024 - Expressice white flowers, citrus fruits, lime, starfruits, apricot and ripe peach. Some honey, but of nuts. Chalky minerals. Savoury salinity too that adds depth. Round with 5g residual sugar despite its racy acidty. Good tension and strength with good amount of dry extracts. Finishing with aromatic lemongrass. This will age gracefully. 12.5%abv.
