March 19, 2024 - Trinquée de Meursault - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Tonnellerie Damy - Meursault): Walkaround tasting with producers. Big and bold orchard fruit, candied pecans, and freshly ground spice. Rich and fleshy with lots of structure giving a firm, backward structure for now, this will reward patience.

November 13, 2023 - Upper part of vineyard, just below Perrières, planted in 1964. Less obvious than others, more dynamic. Poor and stony soils. Generally 30hl/ha here (low production) and typically just 4 barrels (228L).

Creamy nose, sort of spicy and floral – it offers a certain charm but it whispers it. Similar start to the palate, it is fairly compact and really quite seamless though a sense of firm minerality. It drinks beautifully hence my scant note! Got carried away?

November 7, 2023 - Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): Barrel Sample - Powerful big scale nose displaying concentrated white and yellow fruit, pear, lemon curd, vanilla, honeysuckle, dry extract, spicy spices and crushed rocks. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of concentrated white and yellow fruit, rich and oily but also cool, energetic and beautifully detailed, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral, and a long concentrated white and yellow fruit driven finish. There is a lot of dry extract at the end. This is a very complete wine.

November 3, 2023 - Superbe nez de noisette grillée, tarte au citron, énorme citronné... En bouche, beau minéral avec un grand potentiel de garde de 10+ années...
