  November 10, 2013 - It had a very nice nose for a 10 year old wine. The tanins were very subtle but still present. Nothing to brag about on the finish. Had it with steak Kabobs and was nice pairing. It was a very easy drinking wine but agree that it should not be held any longer. Glad it was our last bottle.

  July 19, 2013 - Decanted and drank over 4 hours. Rich nose - with hints of cedar, sour cherry and pencil lead. Soft blue fruits and the attack. A little tart (acidity) on the mid-palate...through the finish. Little tannins remain. Drinking fine now - but I would not hold more than another year.

  December 18, 2012 - No formal note taken, but this seemed to open up nicely with more air. Initial notes of toasty oak and alcohol blew off, while the fruit gained focus and there was an interesting graham cracker component on the nose.

  March 31, 2011 - Beautifully balanced and focused. Restrained black fruit and sawdust nose with same on plate as well as slate. A nice surprise.
