April 15, 2024 - Really good a 31 years. Mellow and deep, but good acid and some fruit. Nice balance. Great with food.

January 5, 2024 - Gorgeous mature Burgundy that has so much freshness and youthfulness in the fruit that feels even more concentrated that typical 1er levels. Yet this has the benefits of complexity and layering of 30 years with cherry fruit accented by mushroom, leather and a medley of spices. In the middle of what should be a long peak drinking window.

April 21, 2017 - Floral nose with meat, red currant, spice and minerals. Palate is transperent with pure red fruit but a bit simple. The nose is better than palate

August 28, 2014 - Dinner at Paris Club (Paris Club - Chicago, IL): Big and powerful (still) with dense red fruits, wet earth, beef broth, and spices. I really liked the palate, had good acidity, a cool red fruit profile, and some nice floral notes. Seemed to be in a great place!
