January 20, 2003 - Bright disc. Deep ruby robe with red rim. Clean nose, requiring a minimum of 60 minutes to show anything. When the nose does open, there are pleasant aromas of red cherry, red currants and exotice spice. There is an additional hint of "Pez candy" dust on the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate, with low acidity and similar flavors as for the nose. Tannins are medium and very supple. Medium, smooth finish. This is a pleasant Cabernet, with bright fruit but not enough structure for long-term aging.
