December 17, 2020 - Excellent -- tons of sediment, A bit brown around the edges but still has good life in it

November 29, 2020 - Yet tasting well at this age. Soy, vanilla, and plenty of fruit. Don’t wait much longer, though.

July 9, 2017 - Stunning. Drinking well with a bit more o f decanting. Many years left

March 18, 2017 - Cherry and baking spices with some leather and tobacco upon opening. Enjoyed over about 90 min. Easy drinking, smooth on the palate. Acidity, fruit and tannins are blended nicely. Not as much "grip" as a few years ago, as the tannins are less pronounced. But the balance is spot-on, and this is drinking very nicely, indeed.

June 18, 2014 - The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, stoniness and black pepper. It tastes like blackberry and red currant. The body is medium/full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity. Drank a 2002 last summer which was superb. This one was very good, but not as "bold" as a year ago.
