April 10, 2020 - Nice smooth amarone. Still drinking well

January 21, 2020 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #045: Amarone (@ The factory by JdB): The bouquet is a bit rustic. On the palate a sweet start with some cherries and ripe blackberries, chocolate and some hints of coffee. Soft acidity and tannin in this full bodied wine. Completely ready now.

September 18, 2016 - Deep, inky purple in color. A well balanced Amarone. Paired with cheeses and antipasto as starters and a beef stew type dish as a main course. This is a wine that is not overly complex, but definitely comes across on the palate as better with food than without. Only bottle, but would drink again.

January 25, 2016 - Weekly tasting group #201; A fully blind test. (@ The factory by JdB): Beautiful bouquet showing maturity and some pleasant barnyard. On the palate chocolate, coffee, tea, mocha and sweet spices. Firm acidity and mild tannin. The wine is completely ready now and if this bottle is exemplary; don't wait another 3 years.

February 8, 2015 - Drank out of 9L bottle. Plums and raspberries were evident. There was some slight sweetness to the wine. The palate was very big and fruity with some earthy tones. Alcohol was at 15% but well integrated. All in all, a very pleasant and easy though slightly boring wine to drink but an average amarone.
