December 10, 2021 - Of the two notes below,the one from Jeremy Holmes is much closer to the experience we had with this wine. A hint of volatility, but really singing after about two hours in the decanter. A lot of life left in the fruit, which stole the show.

November 4, 2017 - Complex aromatics of spruce, tar, roses, cedar and truffle. The palate really intensifies with air and there's rich, vinous fruit at the wine's core. It is textural and layered, enveloping the mouth with savoury tinged flavour. There's still ample, chewy tannins and a line of minerally acidity.
