April 28, 2024 - Barthod's 2022 releases are strikingly gorgeous, capturing the pure essence and elegance of Chambolle-Musigny with each taste. Despite the warm, hot conditions of 2022, Barthod has masterfully crafted wines that whisper their intensity—subtle, delicate, yet profound. Who else in Burgundy can match this ethereal grace and pristine, absolute pure expression of red fruit? Simply stunning.

TN: This wine opens with an enticing nose of fine red fruits. On the palate, it displays remarkable poise and a medium-plus, full mouthfeel brimming with delicate red berries. Accents of herbs add complexity to the flavor profile, which has a hint of sweetness but remains balanced and never cloying. A superb example of a village wine, exquisitely crafted.

January 19, 2024 - Tasting the 2022s from Ghislaine Barthod. The entire line-up was convincing statement pro purity, elegance and lightness that is for me the epitome of Burgundian reds. Of the 2022, Les Cras stood out in a league of its own.

    Tasting note:
An amazingly defined, ripe fruit with mineral flavors and enticing spice. Fresh and intense palate. This is a strong Village easily performing at a 1er Cru level.
