May 8, 2024 - Almost tastes like a pinot, light and bright. Nice cherry flavor. Went well with pork chops. Just enough complexity, I think it drinks just fine young and did not need much decanting. Will def. buy again.

May 6, 2024 - Brilliantly translucent in the glass, aromatically pretty red fruit & florals. On the palate bright crisp red fruit, strawberry, cherry, pomegranate with good minerality and gentle texture. This wine evaporated quickly over a conversation.

May 5, 2024 - Translucent ruby color. Decanted. Now 2h after decant. Lovely aromas of mildly candied red cherries, pomegranate, mild bark and herbs. Elegant palate with red cherries, bark, herbs, nice minerals and a touch of earth. Light body with mild tannins and excellent acids. Nice finish of tart mildly candied red cherries, bark and minerals. This is flat out delicious with a mild chill. Quaffable but with enough complexity to keep it interesting. Frankly, I would rather have this than 95% of roses on a hot day.

April 2, 2024 - Popped and poured; enjoyed over two days. Fairly consistent throughout but best on Day 2. The 2022 “Lodi” pours a bright ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with juicy ripe cherry and red plums. Strawberry/watermelon, red ripe licorice, red flowers, crushed gravel minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The texture is silky smooth and finish is long. Overall, this comes across so fresh and juicy; and unbelievably quaffable. I would drink these now or over the next few years.
