December 27, 2023 - Pretty hard to rate this as it was so intriguing. Easily in the 95 point range.

Slow oxed 6 hours then decanted in the Post Ranch restaurant in Big Sur. Drank over 2 hours and it kept expanding. Last glass the best, no surprise.

These are drinking well now with a lot of air but have a long long life ahead. Will hold my remaining bottles a while but a very good showing.

Curious to try other vintages of this!

October 22, 2023 - Deep ruby. An initial dominance by earthy and foresty notes dissipates quickly and the nose is endowed with strawberry jam, pollen, cedar and tobacco.

The palate is different: it has good tension between delicious raspberry acidity and strawberry-coated tannins (though I’m guessing methoxypyrazines ~15 ng/l on a borderline green note). Grippy, balanced and vivacious. Red and dark berries lay all in layers here!

The finish is long with liqueur-endorsed berries, receding acidity and an earthy minerality. It is beautiful, complex and delicious.

This prime example of a Grand Cru does not possess the herbs or acidity to float in high pitch, nor does it have a dark loamy tune to sink into bass. It is in the middle, impersonating a soprano coloratura. In theory, this is the wine to share with Cecilia Bartoli and Patricia Petitbon.

Delicious to 96 pts, interesting to 97 pts. Between the three of us, none broke into an aria and the bottle emptied quickly.

Open now and share after two hours.

June 25, 2023 - Still lots of primary red fruit but the darker secondary notes are becoming more evident and the wine is more in balance with more substance than the last bottle we opened. Seems like the next couple years will be the perfect drinking window. Bravo Laurent!

January 18, 2023 - Slow oxed for 2 hours, lovely stunning aromas of red fruits, distinct candy floss, spices, herbs, soil, palate had a zen like precision, grand vin, long & full of depth, elegance personified, for those who like their Burgs with more fruits this is drinking well, wait few more years if you want more secondary savoury elements, kept getting better & more complex as night progressed, oh my the nose was just so good always evolving & revealing something new, the reason why we drink Burgs!
    95+

November 25, 2022 - (from Magnum) what a beautiful CdlR... had this with the big fam on Thxgiving and it was perfect, too much going on so not details, just remember it was very very charming and no sharp edges and beautiful reddish fruit, plus a tiny layer of spice
