November 29, 2020 - Tasted semi-blind. Significant air already. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour with wide garnet rim. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of soy earth, potpourri, dried plum, dried red cherry, dark red cherries, leather. Developed.
On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, medium+ alcohol, puckery well structured high tannins, medium+ nearly full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of tanned leather, bit of meat, umami earth, sweet dried red plum, ripe red cherries drying up into sour red cherries with a lick of spice and mineral. Long grippy finish.
Very good quality. Time to drink up before the balance of tannin and fruit falls apart.

July 17, 2019 - Last of these. Loaded with sour cherry and cranberry. Drank with fresh parchment paper red salmon.

October 29, 2018 - Pretty good Pinot drank with Red Salmon Sushi. PnP. Nice fruit upon opening but it faded to acidity and dusty tannin over a few hours. Have one more to drink.. probably next year.

July 26, 2017 - this continues to improve and was a delicious accompaniment to some fresh King Salmon baked on the grill. Cherry fruit and earthiness with good balance. The overbearing acidity evident in past bottles has mellowed.

August 30, 2015 - Okay with grilled silver salmon but too much acidity and tartness for my taste. Maybe it will resolve with more cellar time??
