January 22, 2012 - As per previous note drinking well - just a hit of bricking on the edges. lovely cherry nose w/ oak very well integrated - a hint of spice. acidity sticks out a bit now - likely needs a bit of time for the fruit to fill out.

August 27, 2011 - I didn't write a formal note but the wine was open and ready to go right after opening - lovely nose of cherry and earthiness. Drinking well - probably only a few years left. The wine started dry on the palate but started to open and relax a bit - with a tiny bit of sappiness. A solid mature burg which is drinking well now.

November 23, 2009 - Opened at the same time as a bottle of 06 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir in what turned out to be an interesting study in contrasting styles of the varietal. This Grand Cru Burgundy could not be more the polar opposite of the KB and at the same time be equally appealing. The nose shows a really nice mix of earth, truffle, and red berries. On the palate it is light to medium bodied with a very elegant texture a bit of a spice note on the finish. It's hard to say which of the two wines I preferred. Both were delicious in their own way.
