  August 10, 2010 - 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape Tasting Dinner (6 wines) (South Haven, Michigan): Started off our 2000 CdP tasting with this wine. Chilled it and took it to the beach to watch the sunset with Otis and his wife. This was the 4th time I have had this wine over the last 9 years. It has never lived up to the WS94 rating but has always been a very good wine. This wine has evolved and become much smoother and more rounded. Notes of apple, marzipan and creamy fruit. Drink up if you have any. 89-90 points.

  March 19, 2008 - I took a bottle of this to dinner at the Rutherford Grill in the Napa Valley with Tyee, Pinot Envy and our spouses. At least the 3rd time I have had this. Sound and still drinking well. Some white pepper, green apple and marzipan notes. 91 points.

  November 16, 2005 - Creamy with some tartness to it. Very minerally and medium bodied. Some heat on the nose and long finish. 90-91 points.

  June 25, 2005 - Funky earthy nose. But not in a bad way. minerall, fruity, spicy taste. Will hold up for a while.

  October 21, 2001 - I have had this several times. Tried 1 in 10/01 w/ Red beans & rice. Pale yellow color. Aromas of green apples. Tart with mineral flavors which dig at the terrior. Clean and crisp finish. Medium bodied.
