  May 11, 2021 - I opened this bottle without knowing anything about the wine and thinking, correctly, that it was time to drink this.
  Saturated color, showing an aged character appropriate for its age.
  Bright, flamboyant aromas with plum, spices, mint.
  This wine is well balanced without the apparent high alcohol found in so many Shiraz wines. Not heavy at all but showing good complexity and length.
  At its peak right now.

  April 22, 2021 - This was sensational. Deep fruit, silky feel, fine tannins. Yet retains the intense terroir of McLarenvale. Finish lasts forever. In my cellar since release. So glad there is one more left.

  March 27, 2015 - Very much beg to differ with most recent review; this thing maybe peaking but definitely not past it's prime. Crusty, extracted, slightly dark dark fruit, exactly what I'd expect of an McClaren Shiraz from this era. Thickened up and became a little more syrupy and sweeter on day 2 with a flank steak. Really liked this

  May 6, 2013 - Very deep ruby. Complex, sweet, black fruit and spicy nose. Tarry, saline, black fruits. Elegance, focus and length. Spectacular.
