  December 22, 2021 - P&P, after a Chateau des Tours 2016. A step up. Really spectacular fruit, not overly complex but gorgeous. the palate is smooth, long, well balanced. ready now but can hang in there for a while

  August 10, 2020 - P&P. dark colour. Powerful nose, red and dark fruits, plum, spices. there is something that bothered me. Not sure it was slightly corked or not well integrated wood. it did not corrupt the wine though. on the palate, tanins are silky and perfectly integrated, medium weight+. Great pairing with lamb loin. I rated it 92 with the benefice of the doubt.

  July 6, 2014 - Color: medium-deep ruby core -> medium ruby rim w/slight bricking. Dusty cherry nose with mineral/metallic edge, smoke and a little vanilla. Fairly sweet, straightforward palate of cherries, minerals, tobacco and a touch of cedar. Good structure -- still some tannins on the medium-length, slightly coarse finish. Very nice, but not bowling me over; I think this is at peak and will probably provide good drinking over the next several years.

  April 9, 2013 - My last rating was 3 years ago. Similar notes but smoother now. Silky smooth. I'm a huge fan of Rocca and have been raving about them since the 2004 Cab which is by far their best vintage in my opinion.
