December 10, 2023 - Opened this at a small gathering to accompany a smoke leg of lamb dinner.
I found this to be ripe and pleasing, if a bit on the simple side. Didn't notice elevated VA as some other notes have stated. This was nicely balanced and focused, with good depth and concentration. The lone french person at the table thought it to be "Californian", but I found it to be elegant and not over-the-top at all. -

February 16, 2023 - PnP - perfect cork extracted w Durand. Medium red with slight browning at the edge. Complex savory nose - clearly secondary/tertiary stage but very intriguing. Relatively light in body with complex savory notes perhaps a bit rustic and a very long finish which is not at all driven by tannins or drying out of the fruit. This worked very well with a mushroom linguini.
Drink up if you have it.1 person found this helpful Comment -

November 11, 2022 - Very dark colour. Some rather oxidative notes on the nose that blew off to reveal ripe black fruit.
Ripe but elegant on the palate.
Finishes fresh and well balanced, plenty of acidity to freshen it and nice ripe black fruit. A little disjointed though.1 person found this helpful Comment -

February 7, 2022 - PnP. Perfect cork and fill. Medium dark red; good viscosity in the glass. Spicy nose with some forest floor notes; don't detect the pruniness as in other bottles. Medium weight on the palate with some fine tannins which still dominate the finish. This may further integrate as there is good "sap" in the flavors or the fruit may fade and the tannins take over. The 05 Burgundies continue to evolve glacially. Day 2: definitely more fruit and the tannins are softer. Keep waiting.

May 16, 2021 - A Tasting of Chambolle-Musigny Village Wines from the 2005 Vintage (San Francisco): Deep ruby. Menthol, volatile acidity, blueberry, and some porty overripeness. On the palate, pure fruit with great acidity and soil. Not a typical elegant Bertheau and very hard to read. Some very promising aspects, but real questions about the overall balance.
