February 7, 2011 - Smooth, nice blackberry and spice finish

September 12, 2008 - The nose is dark fruit with only a hint of meat. The flavor is blackberries and not much else. A gentle finish with a touch of acid and no tannins. Very pleasant.

July 6, 2008 - Amazing value, northern Rhone in style, this is one fantastic US syrah. Inky purple color. Aromas of plums, blueberries, and a bit of soft cedar. Palate opened up into blueberries, plum, huckleberries and finished with a touch of bacon fat. Will buy 1/2 case and save some. I think it will be good for drinking over the next 2 years, but it's perfect and fresh now, too. Very easy to pair with food, from chicken to steak, burgers, etc. We had with chili and with bbq ribs.

April 2, 2008 - Aromas of peppercorns, charcoal, and plum skin followed by notes of tart plums, blackberries, and grilled meat. A very good wine, but just a little lean for my palate.
