Community Tasting Notes 2

November 19, 2009 - Quite dark reddish-purple in color. Maybe a little red fruit on the nose, but predominantly peppery, spicey aromas, with lots of volatile alcohol (for those old enough to remember- this has the effect of Vicks Vapo-Rub!). Palate echos nose...small amt. of fruit, but mostly just pepper. Significant tannin on finish. A good (and typical) example of of a low priced Spanish tempranillo...What? It's supposed to taste like Pinot Noir? Hhmmmm...

August 6, 2008 - Bright cherry flavors on the tongue with more flesh developing on the mid palate. A little bit dusty tasting, which tempers the fruit nicely. Medium length finish of grape and cherry skins. Nice acidity and balance.
