Mostly resolved tannins, this is drinking quite nicely today without any need to decant (but we did Audoze it for a few hours). Nice acidity and well balanced.   September 26, 2010 - This is a beautiful wine. Blackberry and spices on the nose. Very soft and elegant on the palate. Flavours of raisin and licorice dominate but I also get some brown sugar. Very well made and a nice finish made this a treat. The tannins are perfectly integrated but this still has a few years left.

  January 27, 2008 - Not as exuberant as the last bottle. Still improving after 3+ hours of air. Silky nose of game, roses, earth, anise, tar, cranberry and strawberry. Medium bodied and fairly long on the finish. This is an elegant, seemless and very enjoyable wine but falls short of profound, just not terribly complex or deep. Still, quite enjoyable.

  March 31, 2006 - Big silky nose of red fruits, sweet earth, truffles, roses. Very nice integrated palate, well balanced. Just shy of profound or spectacular, but very very good with a long delightful finish. Probably can improve further.
