Community Tasting Notes 2

September 4, 2021 - Kumquat, herbs, yellow fruit and caramel. It still retains some fruit and acidity. Showing a good mix of primary and secondary character.

March 10, 2017 - Great color and fill, and this showed in very good condition. Lots of well integrated oak lending a vanilla nougaty character, some soft yellow apple/pear fruit, and a dusting of hazelnut. This still has a very nice chalky mineral edge to offset the oaky sweetness. At first it lacks some persistence (although with none of the midpalate fraying that premoxed wines get), but it puts on weight in the glass and was still picking up steam after two hours. A lovely example of that endangered species, the aged, fully mature white burgundy.
