June 16, 2016 - Double decanted, dark crimson with a slightly lighter rim, no brick, more black than red fruit, soft/med. tannins, long finish; delicious & probably at peak, but no rush

April 24, 2016 - Rich tar and damp leaf with undercurrent of dark fruits. A bit simplistic right now but this wasn't given time to aerate. I would put this into the category of very good but not exceptional drinking at this point. You can drink it, but I would wait another 3 years to let it really open up. The nose is good but promises so much more later and the palate has the fruit to hold another few years with ease.

February 14, 2016 - Restaurant Fred (Rotterdam, Netherlands): Dark spice, licorice, blackberries, and smoke aromas. Broad, dense, and full-bodied, with a voluptuous texture and a luscious mouthfeel.

February 6, 2016 - Extensive sediment, boldly fruited wine with rich midpalate which overall is tasty but seems to fall a bit flat. Not really sensing heat but this specific bottle falls apart a bit on the finish. Perhaps suboptimal bottle?

January 29, 2016 - Leiden in Rotterdam at Fred: Ripe CdP, elegant nose, some sweetness. Taste red fruit, on the light side, but good mouthfeel, hint of bitterness,
