This is in a good spot. It wasn’t mind blowing but seemingly over performed for the producer. Worth trying again soon but there is no rush.

April 5, 2021 - Drank over 2 days with grilled lamb and rip-eye. Ruby garnet with slight bricking at the rim. Pnp with a somewhat funky nose. Over the course of the evening the barnyard notes gave way to earthy and leather aromas with very slight hints of dark fruits. Earthy and herbal notes (green pepper) on the palate. Medium Body ( with some aeration) with resolved tannins. Still decent acidity which provided a sense of structure and freshness. Medium finish with slightly tart and green aftertaste. The wine „mellowed“ overnight. Red fruit notes emerged on nose and palate, cigar box and a whiff of cedar. Gained slightly in body and delivered a longer finish. Very nice aftertaste. Greenness completely gone and supplanted by spicy tastes and - crazy as it may sound - long lasting notes of Candy Apples. Maybe I had one too many ;-) At the age of 26 a very nicely aged and enjoyable claret. Color 5/5 Nose 12/15 Palate 17/20 Je ne sais quoi 8/10. 92P
