Over toppen.

April 21, 2023 - Fruit forward and smooth, losing its structure, flat on the nose. So the best days are well behind, but still delicious after 21 years!

February 12, 2013 - Vancouver Confrerie Chapitre des Valentines (Five Sails - Vancouver, BC): Some high tuned spice upfront on the nose, along with aromas of bright red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of asphalt. More bright red cherries on the palate, as well as notes of boysenberries, raspberries, earth, and plenty more spice. Plenty or structure, showing piercing acidity and plenty of hard gritty tannins. Medium length finish ending on notes of boysenberry and raspberry. This is quite elegant and a bit muddy on the palate, with bright firm acidity. While good I think a couple more years will help this come together. Good+

January 19, 2012 - 30 min decanted, eye: ruby, translucent, no sediment, 2mm fading. nose: maturing PN nose, black cherry, (yes) cranberry, bark, wet stone. palate: light to medium body, prominent acid profile accompanied by medium to finely grained tannins, 16 Caudalie. uncomplicated Burgundy pleasure, recommended with food. for me the CdM is always more a Village compared to top 1er Mercureys. next bottle in 2013.
