  September 4, 2011 - This bottle was a little harsh and lacking the fruit to stand up to the tannins and oak. Hints of pepper and vanilla made this drinkable!

  September 27, 2010 - Quite tasty, with a nice nose, of blackberry and vanilla, jammy blackberry notes continues on the palate with hint of pepper vanilla and oak. Very smooth finish.

Palate is ripe black fruits (without feeling extracted), chocolate, and plum. There is some heat in transition from mid to finish. Finish is accentuated with a black tea finish. Was more into this taste profile a couple of years ago.

  December 2, 2009 - Deep black color with ruby red hints. High acidity. Let sit one day.
  
  The wine was deep and complex on day two. Spice is softer and the fruit is showing through, the color is still ink. The wine is built to age and should have been aged. I would let it go another 3-5 at minimum. Well built!
